The 31-year-old goalkeeper El-Shennawi played an effective role with Ahly, helping the team win the Egyptian Premier League title, CAF Champions League, and Egypt's Cup trophy
Ahly’s and Egypt’s first choice goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shennawi revealed that if he received an offer to join Liverpool, he would decline it as he prefers to continue wearing the Red Devil's jersey.
"My current target is to participate with Ahly in the Club World Cup," El-Shennawi told a television programme.
"We are working now to introduce a superb performance while participating in the FIFA Club World Cup rather than just making an appearance,"
"As I said before, I won't leave Ahly until the club's management agrees on my departure," El-Shennawi said.
