Egypt reported 640 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, bringing its total infection toll to 192,195 since the outbreak last year.

The health ministry reported 44 deaths, bringing the death toll from the virus nationwide to 11,384.

As many as 322 patients have been discharged from hospitals over the past 24 hours to mark total recoveries at 148,089.
