The new music video was released on 15 March on streaming platforms and social media

Mahmoud El-Esseily’s exclusive music video ‘Baaet Maaya’ is in 10th place on the trending list of YouTube Egypt, shortly after its release on 15 March by the music company Delta Sound.

The same music video has been also posted by El-Esseily on his YouTube channel, reaching over 400,000 views since its posting.

Meanwhile El-Esseily commented on his Instagram that the song is telling every woman and every girl that she deserves the one who appreciates her.

The new song is composed by El-Esseily and Ihab Abdel-Wahid, with the lyrics by Sara Farrag. The video director is Ibrahim Hadraj.

This is the second music video featuring El-Esseily this year, following ‘Hob Ghalat’ (Wrong Love), which was released in January and has reached 8.2 million views to date.

Born in 1982, El-Esseily’s dedication to music started at a young age, as he started taking piano lessons at the age of four.

El-Esseily formed his first band when he was studying Integrated Marketing Communication at the American University in Cairo, where he joined every competition showcasing student talents. The university released a CD with the students’ songs, which includes El-Esseily’s ‘Khayef Men Bokra’ (I Am Afraid of Tomorrow).

El-Esseily was also an opening act for Amr Diab’s concert at the university.

Starting 2002, his popularity began to grow, as he kept opening concerts for other well-known singers, including Elissa.

He was then discovered by producer Ayman Abbas, who supported the release of his first album titled ‘Rayeh Ala Fein?’ (Where Are You Going?) in 2004.

El-Esseily has since released several albums, becoming one of the most popular Egyptian singers and songwriters. His albums include Meen Ana (Who Am I), Tool Manty Ganby (As Long As You Are Next To Me), Donia Gedida (New World), etc.

Faithful to the light pop genre, El-Esseily touches the hearts of his fans with songs that tackle themes of happiness and the pains of romantic relationships, which take a highly personalised angle.
