Wa’fet Regala is becoming one of the most watched films ever in newly established Saudi Arabian theaters

One of the very few Egyptian films released this year, comedy ‘Wa’fet Regala’ is continuing a successful run for its 15th week locally, in addition to becoming one of the most watched films ever in newly established Saudi Arabian theatres.

Produced by the Egyptian leading production company Synergy Films, in collaboration with Misr International, New Century, and other companies, the first Egyptian film for 2021 is written by Haitham Dabbur and directed by Ahmed El-Gendy.

Wa’fet Regala stars renowned Egyptian actor Maged El-Kidwany, leading a reunion trip for boyhood friends Bayoumi Fouad, Sayed Ragab, and Sherif El-Dessouky, where comedy explodes and issues become complicated. The crew also combines younger generation stars like Mohamed Sallam and Amina Khalil, among others.

With movie theatres operating in Egypt under strict safety measures against the global pandemic, Wa’fet Regala is still screening in various venues alongside a few other Arab and foreign films.
