Egyptian FM stresses to French counterpart importance of ending Israeli hostilities against Gaza

They discussed the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially in Al Quds, Al Aqsa Mosque, and Gaza Strip.


Egyptian foreign minister Sameh Shoukry stressed Thursday during a phone call with his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian the importance of halting Israeli hostilities on the Gaza Strip.

According to an official statement by the foreign ministry, Shoukry affirmed the necessity of the prevention of bloodshed through an immediate ceasefire to allow for political efforts aimed at reaching a final settlement for the Palestinian conflict.

They discussed the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially in Al Quds, Al Aqsa Mosque, and Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, Shoukry has also received a phone call from his Irish counterpart Simon Coveney as they conferred on UNSC efforts to address the crisis.
