Afsha sustained his injury during Ahly's 2-0 win over Morocco's RS Berkane in the 2020 African Super Cup on Friday
Ahly’s talented attacking midfielder Mohamed "Afsha" Magdi is confirmed to be out of action for two weeks after medical scans showed that the player suffers from an ankle sprain, the club's Football Director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz announced on Sunday.
"Afsha will miss the team's training for two weeks as he undergoes a recovery and rehab program to be fit and ready for the games," Abdel-Hafiz said.
The 25-year-old, sustained the injury during Ahly's 2-0 win over Morocco's RS Berkane in the 2020 African Super Cup on Friday.
He will miss the game against Enppi at the Egypt Cup round of 16 that is set for next Friday.
Afsha has been a key Ahly player, scoring 13 goals and providing 18 assists in 76 appearances since joining from Pyramids FC in the summer of 2019. He helped the Red Devils win the Egyptian Premier League, the African Champions League and the CAF Super Cup.
