Egypt reported 181 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, bringing the total infection tally officially to 281903 since the outbreak began in February 2020.

The health ministry also reported 27 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 16242.

The statement said that 903 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 213628 .
