Team reveals that former Ahly and Zamalek midfielder will be among those up for trade this summer

Wadi Degla revealed on Friday that midfielder Hassan Mostafa won’t wear the team’s jersey next season after including him on their summer transfer list.

The former Ahly midfielder, who joined Wadi Degla last season after transferring from Cairo's Zamalek, has failed to meet the expectations of Degla’s coach Walter Meeuws, prompting the latter to try and offload him as the side prepares for next season.

The 31-year old played for Zamalek in 2009 after joining them for free. Mostafa later signed a three-season deal with the Whites, but the side did not extend his stay, prompting him to agree a contract with Wadi Degla last season.

Degla’s director will send the players list to the Egyptian Football Association on Saturday. It will included midfielders Alaa Eissa, Sherif Reda, Emad Othman Hassan Mostafa, Shehab El-Dien Mohamed and Mohamed Rifaie.

Under the helm of tactician Meeuws, Wadi Degla are working hard to refine their squad as they prepare for next season.

The current season was suspended in the wake of February's Port Said massacre, when more than 73 were killed and hundreds injured following a league game between bitter rivals Ahly and Masry.
