Saudi giants agree to pay $1 million to maintain services of experienced Pharaohs midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou for one more year

Ittihad Jeddah have agreed to extend a loan deal for Egypt and Ismaily midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou for another year.

The Egyptian club officially agreed on Monday to extend the international midfielder's stay with Ittihad in exchange for a fee of $1 million.

Saudi daily Okaz on Tuesday reported that the Saudi heavyweights had already successfully concluded negotiations for the loan renewal.

The 2008 Africa Cup of Nations' most valuable player joined the Saudi League in February. Football activity in Egypt has been suspended since February's Port Said stadium disaster, which left dozens of fans dead and hundreds injured.

The former Strasbourg player managed to score four goals in 12 appearances with the Saudi champions during his short spell.

Ittihad Jeddah made their official bid for the player on the request of Coach Raul Caneda, who reportedly wants to retain the talented midfielder in his squad.
