President Morsi says talks continue on formation of new government, warns that law will be used to stop 'defamation'


Negotiations on the formation of a new cabinet are still ongoing, said President Mohamed Morsi during a speech at Cairo's Military College on Tuesday.

He also said talks were continuing with political groups on Egypt's future and praised the current interim government of Kamal El-Ganzouri.

Moreover, he praised the Armed Forces for its role since the 2011 uprising and for proving that it "belongs to the people and is its protector."

He ended by warning people not to defame others and stating that he had the power of the law to stop them. However, preferred to us love as a tool to deal with people.

Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi and other senior officials also attended the graduation ceremony at the Military College.
