Ismaily signs Ghanaian youngster Prince Arko from King Faisal for undisclosed amount
Ismaily have concluded the signing of youngster Prince Arko from Ghanaian side King Faisal, the coastal club announced on Wednesday.
“Arko has penned a four-and-a-half-year deal today. The deal will keep him at the club until 2015,” Ismaily said on their official website without disclosing the transfer fee.
“He is a promising player who had other offers from (Tunisian side) Sfaxien and (Libyan side) Ahli Bani Ghazi.”
The 17-year-old joins Ismaily just days after the team’s regular striker Ahmed Aly joined Saudi Arabia club Hilal on loan until the end of the season.
It remains to be seen whether Arko would be able to earn a starting berth, given his young age.
Nigerian Ndubuisi Godwin and Mohsen Abou-Greisha are currently the preferred options for Dutch coach Mark Wotte upfront.
Ismaily, who last won the Egyptian Premier League title in 2002, lie second in the table with 29 points at the halfway mark, three behind leaders Zamalek.
