The technical staff of Egyptian outfit Ismaily don't want striker Traore anymore, who has been complaining about the club's failure to pay his salary
Ismaily has terminated the contract of Malian striker Mohamed Traore by mutual consent, the coastal club announced on Tuesday.
Traore, who joined the Dervishes last January on a three-and-a-half year deal, has boycotted the club's current preparations for the new season as he hasn't received his financial dues.
"Club president Raafat Abdel-Azim held a meeting today with Traore's agent and they reached an agreement to end the player's contract in a friendly way," the club announced in a statement in its official website Tuesday morning.
The 23-year-old former hitman of Swiss's club Sion has officially seeked departure from the Ismailia-based club and the technical staff, headed by Sabry El-Meniawy, had the same desire.
"We don't need Traore. He is a lazy player and even don't want to prove his worth to the technical staff," Ismaily assistant coach Hamam Ibrahim told the club's official website.
The release of Traore will allow the club's technical staff to sign a new foreign player as they already have both Libyan forward Nader Al-Tarhouni and Nigerian striker Godwin in their current squad.
Ismaily, which is facing a major financial crisis and has lost a number of stars for the same reason, was ranked 6th before last season's Egyptian league suspension after the tragic death of 70 fans in the Port Said stadium.
