Amr Zaki ready for first appearance with Elazigspor in Turkish league after completing registration
Egypt striker Amr Zaki is ready to make his debut with Turkish club Elazigspor when they meet Trabzonspor in the second match of the league season, the club's football director Zafer Yetis revealed on Wednesday.
Earlier this month, Zaki signed a three-year contract with the Turkish club on a move from Egypt's Zamalek.
The 29-year-old missed the league opener with Fenerbahce on Saturday because he had not completed his registration with the Turkish Football Association.
"Zaki will be available for the Trabzonspor clash," Yetis was quoted as saying by Turkish website haberayrinti.com.
"We will continue our preparations for the game until the end of the week and I hope we win," he added.
The former ENPPI player moved to Zamalek in 2006. He was loaned to English Premier League side Wigan Athletic in 2008-2009 and scored 11 goals in 33 matches. He also had a short spell at Hull City where he made six appearances.
