Egyptian opposition groups are infuriated over an ultimatum by Omar Suleiman that protesters have two options 'dialogue' or 'coup'

Egyptian opposition groups are infuriated over a vague ultimatum by Vice President Omar Suleiman that protesters have two options "dialogue" or "coup."

Ayman Nour and other opposition leaders said Wednesday that such remarks are dangerous threats.

Thousands of protesters demanding President Hosni Mubarak's ouster filled Cairo's Tahrir Square for a 16th day, energized by a young Google executive who has emerged as an inspiring voice promising "we won't give up."

Egypt'sVice President Omar Suleiman says government will not tolerate civil disobediance Tuesday and cautioned against hasty political reforms as hundreds of thousands staged the biggest protest so far in the revolt against President Hosni Mubarak's rule.

Suleiman, recently appointed by Mubarak who made a series of concessions after unprecedented anti-government protests, also said the government would not brook civil disobedience

Suleiman rejected Tuesday any Mubarak departure during a gathering of newspaper editors late Tuesday.

Osama Saraya, an editor-in-chief of a pro-government paper who attended the meeting, said Suleiman didn't mean only a military coup but also a possible takeover by state institutions or Islamist groups.
