Ivorian striker Oussou Konan joins Meteb on Ahly's list of absentees for Sunshine Stars match, midfielder Hossam Ghaly will be available despite flu
Ahly's Ivorian striker Oussou Konan is out of Saturday's African Champions League semifinal against Sunshine Stars due to injury.
"Konan suffered a groin injury and will not be available for the Sunshine Stars match. He will remain in Cairo to continue his rehab," club doctor Ehab Aly told the club's official website.
The absence of Konan adds to the club's woes as they are already missing injured hitman Emad Meteb.
Veteran midfielder and skipper Hossam Ghaly missed training on Tuesday with flu, but will be available for the trip to Nigeria, according to the doctor.
The Red Devils, who are bidding to win a seventh continental title, will travel to Nigeria on 4 October to face Sunshine Stars in the first leg of the Champions League semifinal.
Titleholders Esperance of Tunisia take on four-time winners TP Mazembe of the DR Congo in the other semifinal clash.
