Ambassador Omar Amer, the official spokesperson of Egypt's presidency, announced on Wednesday that President Mohamed Morsi will be interviewed on air Saturday, 20 April by the Qatar-based Al-Jazeera TV channel.

Amer added in a press conference held at Egypt's presidential palace that President Morsi will be interviewed after his return from Moscow.

Morsi's interview on Al-Jazeera is considered the first live interview since his election last June 2012 as all his previous televised interviews were pre-recorded.
