Montpellier's chairman says that it is likely that team's Moroccan forward Younes Belhanda will leave the French side this summer
Montpellier's Moroccan forward Younes Belhanda would leave the club this summer, Montpellier's chairman Louis Nicollin said on Monday.
The international forward was instrumental in Montpellier's triumphant campaign the last season helping them win the Ligue 1 title in 2012.
This season he produced also some superb displays, scoring ten goals in 26 appearances.
"He wants to leave the club," Montpellier's chairman Louis Nicollin told theFrench magazine France Football on Monday.
"I don't know his new direction, but he receives a big salary and the club couldn't fulfill their obligations toward him on the new season."
"The club will demand at least 10 million Euros as a price for him." he added.
The 23-year-old who plays for Montpellier since 2003 when he joined the club's youth Academy is under contract with the French side as his contract will expire in the summer of the next year.
