Chelsea’s Ivorian striker Salomon Kalou is frustrated after losing his place in Chelsea’s starting 11 and revealed that he could leave the Blues next summer.
Overshadowed by Spain striker Fernando Torres —who arrived from Liverpool in January— the 25-year old player is tired of watching the game from the bench.
"It's been difficult watching from the sidelines these past few weeks. If an opportunity doesn't come, that's when you sit down at the end of the season and think about it," Kalou told Sky Sports.
"Every game it's possible to make the right decision and it has to be something you're doing for the good of your own career. You don't make any decisions by rushing them," he added.
Kalou, who scored seven goals in 23 appearances in the Premier League, said that he will fight seriously to regain his place, despite the tough competition from talented strikers like Torres, Nicolas Anelka, Florent Malouda and Didier Drogba.
"They are all top strikers. But I have to say that if you take the statistics I'm not far from them.I can reach their level, so I have to keep working hard and that's the only way I will get into the team,” he concluded.
