Hadith al nusuur .. harb al istinzaf .. October 1973 (Eagle's Talk: War of Attrition-October 1973) by Mohamed Zaki Okasha, Cairo: Dar Al-Ain,2013.

Pilot Major General Mohamed Zaki Okasha was among the warriors who lived the extraordinary experience of the war against Israel and he shared much of this experience in his newly-published memoires. In the introduction to the book, renowned Egyptian author Gamal El-Ghitany describes the importance of his memoires and how he got to know the author.

Between the defeat of 1973 and the crossing over to Sinai in 1973, Okasha details an insider's view of the Egyptian Air Force, based on references as well as his own experience, especially when it comes to the role of Hosni Mubarak, Egypt's ousted president who is known as the leader of the first air strike on Sinai that allowed for the rest of the troops to cross the Suez Canal and reunite Sinai to the rest of Egypt.

This is considered the first narration about Hosni Mubarak's role and includes many details that were never shared or described elsewhere during or after Mubarak's rule.
