Ahly players revel in win over Zamalek in the CAF Champions League group stage; promise to beat Orlando Pirates in South Africa


Ahly midfielder, Abdallah El-Said, revealed that he and his teammates are working hard to revenge South Africa's Orlando Pirates in the last match day of the CAF Champions League group stage on Sunday.

The Cairo giants lost 3-0 to South Africa's Orlando Pirates in the second match day of the CAF Champions League group stage in Egypt.

"We will play to win against Orlando Pirates, as we are eager to revenge our previous loss in Gouna," Ahly's Abdullah El-Said said.

Title holders Ahly qualified for the African Champions League semis after beating Zamalek 4-2 in the 5th match day of the group stage on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Ahly left-winger, Ahmed Shedid, believes that the Red Devils will compete until the end, as they need to qualify at the top of Group A.

"We will play a big game against Orlando Pirates as we need to stay on top of the group," Shedid said after the win over Zamalek.

Ahly are scheduled to face Orlando Pirates in South Africa in the last match day of the CAF Champions League group stage on Sunday.

Seven-time African champions Ahly are at the top of Group A with ten points, three ahead of South Africa's Orlando Pirates and Congo's AC Leopards, while Zamalek lie at the bottom with four points.
