Egypt's market closes slightly down

Egypt's benchmark EGX30 dipped slightly after recording a three-year high


Egypt's benchmark index slightly dropped on Monday after it a hit three-year record in the previous session.



The EGX30 declined 0.37 percent to close at 7,408 points.



Turnover of listed stocks registered at LE721.9 million.



Egyptian investors were net sellers at a net value of LE9 million.



Out of 181 traded stocks 110 declined.



Shares in market bellwether Commercial International Bank (CIB) fell 0.24 percent to close at LE33.54 per share.



Talaat Mostafa Group Holding (TMGH) and Palm Hills shares also dropped, losing 0.14 percent and 1.6 percent to close at LE7.15 per share and LE3.07 per share respectively.



Telecom Egypt inched up 0.4 percent and closed at LE14.92 per share.



Other gainers include Qatar National Bank (QNB), inching up 1.65 percent and closing at LE31.51 per share as well as Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding (OTMTH), which gained 1.69 percent to close at LE1.2 per share.



The broader index EGX70 increased by 0.35 percent.
