Gedo will boost Ahly's attacking line on Tuesday; Fathi to complete rehabilitation in Cairo while Meteb could be available against Tunisian side Sfaxien

Ahly striker Mohamed Nagi 'Gedo' will be available Tuesday as the Red Devils take on Ittihad of Alexandria in the Egyptian Premier League.

Gedo, who has just ended his loan deal with English side Hull City, missed the last two matches against Dakhleya and Ghazl El-Mahalla due to an ankle injury.

"Gedo has recovered from his ankle pains and is ready for the Ittihad match," Ahly's football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz told the club's official website Saturday.

Right-back Ahmed Fathi, who suffers from a knee injury, will not travel to Germany to have further scans there and will complete his rehabilitation programme in Cairo, Abdel-Hafiz added.

"We hope Fathi could be available for Gouna by mid-February," explained Abdel-Hafiz.

Ahly now hold second place in their group with 15 points, trailing Arab Contractors by goal difference.

Meteb returns against Sfaxien

The Red Devils attacking line is suffering a gap with Veteran striker Emad Meteb out of action since the beginning of the season due to injury.

According to club doctor Khaled Mahmoud, Meteb will rejoin training sessions after the Gouna match and will be available for the CAF Super Cup match against Tunisian side Sfaxien at Cairo Stadium on 20 February.

Ahly won the African Champions League title in November after beating South Africa's Orlando. Sfaxien won the Confederation Cup title after beating TP Mazembe of DR Congo.

Ahly are the record holders of the African Super Cup with five titles under their belt. They beat Sfaxien 2-1 in the same competition in 2009.
