Egypt will be bidding for a fourth medal, and probably the last, at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games when brothers Omar and Amr El-Geziry resume their modern pentathlon campaign on Saturday.

Omar El-Geziry finished third in the men's fencing ranking round with 238 points but he still has to excel in the fencing bonus round, swimming, riding show jumping and combined running/shooting if he is to compete for a medal.

His brother, Amr, could only collect 208 points, finishing 18th in the fencing ranking round, but he has a chance to redeem himself.

Egypt will be also awaiting an upset from its last two freestyle wrestlers at the Rio Games.

Mohamed Ali Zaghloul and Diaa Kamal feature in the men's qualifying round of the 86kg and 125kg categories respectively.

They can take heart from the surprising run to the semis of Inas Mostafa, who eventually lost twice to miss out on the chance of at least winning a bronze medal in the women's 69kg category on Wednesday.

Egypt has so far won three bronze medals at the Rio Games, two in weightlifting and one in taekwondo.
