23:20 This means that Egypt finishes the Rio Olympic Games with three bronze medals, two in weightlifting and one in taekwondo. 

23:15 The Geziry brothers fail to finish among the top three after poor displays in the combined running/shooting event, with Omar El-Geziry finishing  23rd with a total of 1403 points and Amr El-Geziry finishing 27th with a total of 1393 points. 

23:00 The combined running-shooting contest gets underway. 

22:00 The next and final event, the men's combined running/shooting, takes place at 23:00 Cairo local time (21:00 GMT).

 Amr El-Geziry moved up to third from fourth after scoring 291 points in the riding show jumping but his brother Omar El-Geziry fell from second to 12th in the overall ranking after scoring 265 points.   

21:20 Egypt wrestler Diaa El-Din Kamal loses the chance to pursue a bronze medal after a 7-0 defeat by Canada's Korey Jarvis in the repechage. 

19:50 Omar El-Geziry has finished second with an overall 592 points, while Amr El-Geziry finished fourth with an overall 561 points after fencing bonus round.

19:30 Amr El-Geziry has moved to the top of the ranking now with 208 fencing points, an overall 561.

18:30 El-Geziry duo will be taking part in the Modern Pentathlon Fencing Bonus round 30 minutes later. 

17:35 Amr El-Geziry finished second of Heat six with 1:55.80 minutes, an overall ranking second with 353 point.

17:30 Egypt wrestler Diaa El-Din Kamal will play a repechage after Iran's Ghasemi reached the final. 

17:30 Omar  finished fifth of Heat 5 with a 2:03.62 minute; an overall ranking of 15th with 330 point.

16:40 Omar and Amr El-Geziry will play next in the men's swimming ranking round of Modern Pentathlon.

16:15 Egypt wrestler Diaa El-Din Kamal has been defeated 7-0 by Iran's Ghasemi in the round of 16. 

15:45 Egypt wrestler Diaa El-Din Kamal  will meet Iran's Komeil Nemat Ghasemi, who won bronze in the 2012 London Olympics, in the round of 16.

15:30 Egypt wrestler Diaa El-Din Kamal defeated Tunisia's Radhouane Chebbi 11-0 to qualify for the round of 16 of the125 kg event, while Mohamed Ali Zaghloul was beaten 6-0 by Venezuela's Ceballos Fuentes to exit the round of 16 of the 86 kg.

15:25 Egypt wrestler Diaa El-Din Kamal is currenlty leading 7-0 over his Tunisian counterpart Radhouanne Chebbi, while Mohamed Ali Zaghloul  is trailing 6-0 to Venezuela's Ceballos Fuentes.

14:55 The wrestling 125 kg and 68 kg events have already started, but  Diaa El-Din Kamal and Mohamed Ali Zaghloul have yet to begin their contest.

13:45 Wrestlers Zaghloul and Kamal can take heart from the surprising run to the semis of Inas Mostafa, who eventually lost twice to miss out on the chance of at least winning a bronze medal in the women's 69kg category on Wednesday
