On 22 March, Egyptian scriptwriter Nadine Shams died after a routine operation, which her family blame on the doctors.
A special evening dubbed 'In loving memory of Nadine Shams' will be held at the Cairo Opera House on Monday 12 May.
The event, directed by Nasr Abdel-Moneim, will include screenings of a film about Shams, a presentation of her work, performances by singers Maryam Saleh and Fayrouz Karawyah, and ballet performances.
Shams was a graduate of the High Cinema Institute, she wrote Ehna Etkabelna Abl Kida (We've met before), a 2008 film starring Nelly Kareem.
She also worked on the popular television series Moga Harra last Ramadan.
