Leaders of the ousted Thai government and other prominent political figures detained by the military could be held for up to a week, the army said on Saturday.
"They would be detained for up to one week depending on how directly they were involved (in Thailand's political turmoil)," army spokesman Colonel Winthai Suvaree told a press briefing.
