Ahly's football director Alaa Abdel-Sadek said on Sunday that the club is not interested in former Esperance's coach Ruud Kroll, adding that all reports concerning the matter are completely "false".
Several reports linked the 65-year-old coach with Ahly, who are looking for a new coach after Mohamed Youssef was sacked last month.
"All reports concerning the negotiations with Ruud Krol are completely false," Abdel-Sadek told the club's official website on Sunday.
"There are no negotiations with him and he isn't on our shortlist for the post," he added
Tunisian side Esperance de Tunis sacked Ruud Krol after five months with the club following their 3-2 loss to Ahly Benghazi in the Champions League quarters.
Krol was shown the door after a string of poor results, which saw Esperance win just one of their last five games in all competitions.
