An Israeli delegation arrived in Cairo on Thursday to locate the remains of 22 Israeli soldiers killed in previous wars, Palestinian news agency Maan reported on Thursday.
Maan said that the five-member delegation will stay in Cairo for a few days, and that this is its first visit to Egypt since the 25 January uprising in 2011.
Sources told Maan that the missing remains of 22 Israelis are located in Egypt – 16 of them from the 1973 Arab-Israeli war, four from the 1967 war and two from the attrition war between 1967-1970.
Israel signed a peace treaty with Egypt in 1979.
