Egypt's main index rose 2.24 percent on Monday to 9,109 points, its highest level in four weeks, while regional markets faltered with a new drop in world oil prices.
Gulf stocks fell on Monday after oil prices fell by over $1 a barrel to trade below $49.
Saudi Arabia's Tadawul was down 0.1 percent, Qatar stock exchange down 0.85 percent, and Dubai Financial Market slipped by 0.68 percent.
Egypt market bellwether Commercial international bank (Egypt) gained 2.30 percent to LE50.81 highest, with a turnover of close to LE95 million
In the real estate sector, TMG holding rose 3.38 percent to LE10.09, while Six of October Development and Investment (SODIC) climbed 2.79 percent to LE14.36.
Palm Hills Development Company rose 2.21 to trade at LE4.17 after announcing a joint residential project in the Red Sea resort of Sahl Hasheesh with the Egyptian Resorts Company (ERC).
Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding was up 1.59 percent to LE1.28.
Local investors were net-sellers to the tune of LE30.8 million, while foreign investor were net-buyers for LE26.7 million, and Arab investors were net-buyers for LE4.1 million.
Total turnover was LE612 million.
The broader EGX70 index rose 0.93 percent.
