Nigerian striker Peter Ebimobowei said on Tuesday he is 'proud' to join Cairo giants Ahly, whom he described as "one of the biggest clubs in the World".
The Red Devils completed the signing of Bayelsa United's Ebimobowei after he penned a three-year contract on Monday.
"Thanks to god. I'm proud to join one of the biggest clubs in the World & Africa's most successful club, Al-Ahly SC," Ebimobowei said on his Twitter feed.
The 21-year-old finished last season as the third leading scorer in the Nigeria Professional League with 18 goals.
Meanwhile, several Nigerian reports claimed that Ebimobowei had already signed for Nigerian giants Dolphins FC before moving to Ahly.
A tweet from the Nigerian player on 3 January came to confirm the news.
"Looking forward to the new season after switching to @DolphinsFC," the player had said via twitter.
It remains to be seen whether Dolphins will lodge a complaint against the player after he snubbed them to join Ahly.
