Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will visit Egypt on 16 and 17 January, the Japanese embassy in Cairo has announced.
A delegation of high-level officials will accompany the prime minister on his two-day visit to Egypt.
The Japanese PM will meet Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to discuss the bilateral relations between the two countries.
El-Sisi already met Abe during meetings of the United Nations General Assembly last September.
