The multimedia project features an archive of video and audio interviews gathered from all over the world. In collaboration with sound artist Gunther Auer, Thoughts Meet Space is about social relations, exploring different approaches to the present in relation to its surrounding space.
With the project being site-specific, different version have been presented in several countries, including Vienna, Beirut and Athens, with Cairo being the fourth.
The archive of interviews continues to grow as it moves to new spaces.
In addition to the installation at Hotel Viennoise, a five-day event called Reflection Zone will provide a space for exchange and performances from Cairo’s contributing thinkers and artists.
Reflection Zone will feature performances, lectures, talks, and acts, with contributions of Shady Elnoshokaty, Doa Aly, Kaya Behkalam, Abdallah Daif, Ismail Fayed, Paul Geday, Adham Hafez, Ezz Darwish and others.
