Adi wesh el-deif
Translation: This was the face of a guest
Meaning: This is just the way guests are. They talk big, act grand, and then move on to other lands. So don't take to heart the promises made by people on the move, those who will not stick around long enough to be held accountable. It is a saying that shows the lack of trust Egyptians, who are a settled people, have for travellers.
