Zamalek’s Portuguese tactician Jesualdo Ferreira has said he will rest players to keep them fresh during a sequence of four games in ten days.
After beating toothless Damanhour 3-0 in the Egyptian Premier League on Wednesday, the Zamalek coach revealed that he was happy with the three points but feared the players would become fatigued due to the short gap between games.
"We play four games in ten days, it's a big effort so I will make changes in the starting lineup every game," Ferreira told the post-game press conference.
The White Knights maintained their nine-point advantage over arch rivals Ahly and moved a step closer towards sealing an elusive Egyptian Premier League title after easing to a 3-0 victory over already-relegated Damanhour.
"The players achieved their targets, so I am happy with the points as well as the points advantage over our rivals," he added.
The Cairo giants will face Petrojet in the league on 20 June, seven days before traveling to Tunisia to face Club Sportif Sfaxien in the African Confederation Cup.
"The Petrojet game will be difficult as we suffer from the rapid sequence of games," the Zamalek coach concluded.
