Palestinians in the Gaza Strip fired a rocket into southern Israel Friday, but no one was hurt the Israeli army said.
"A rocket fired from the Gaza Strip hit southern Israel," a statement said. "No injuries reported."
Israeli media said at least one other rocket was fired but fell within the coastal Palestinian territory.
The last rocket to hit Israel was on July 16 and was answered within hours by an Israeli air strike.
Neither caused any casualties.
Last summer, Israel launched a 51- day war on Gaza killing about 2,200 Palestinians, most of them civilians and displaced more than 100,000 people. Meanwhile, Israel put the number of its dead at 73, most of them soldiers.
It also caused heavy damage to Gaza's infrastructure and destroyed or damaged tens of thousands of homes.
