Bahrain authorities reportedly sentenced national team player Mohammed Hubail to two years in prison on Thursday.

Star player Alaa Hubail also went on trial for allegedly taking part in anti-government demonstrations.

FIFA says it has received "no specific official information" about their cases since contacting the Bahrain Football Association in May.

FIFA can suspend countries whose politicians meddle in football's affairs.

Bahrain's football president, Sheik Salman bin Ebrahim Al-Khalifa, is a royal family member.
