Residents from Om Khenan Village blocked the Egypt-Assiut agriculture freeway Saturday in protest over a lack of potable water.
The inhabitants of Om Khenan, one of the largest Egyptian villages, have long suffered from recurring water outages, but the problem became aggravated since the January 25 Revolution.
Residents appear fed up, having been promised more than once by authorities that the problem would be fixed, albeit to no avail.
