Madonna in one of Live Nation Concerts
The Netherland's Association Bouazizi and Live Nation, in cooperation with the Egyptian Arab Defense Association, are planning to hold an international arts festival in Tahrir Square in September, prior to the scheduled parliamentary elections.
Both the Association Bouazizi and the Egyptian Arab Defense Association have announced that the festival will promote tourism and endorse the safety of Egyptians and foreign summer visitors alike. The festival will include a number of concerts by some of the world’s best-known musical icons as well as Arab and Egyptian stars. The organisation has said that international sports celebrities and politicians will attend the one-day event too.
Alamia, the Egyptian marketing company, will take charge of organisation on the ground, ensuring maximum security.
The exact date of the event and its programme are to be announced.
