Cinephilia's Filmmakers to Watch (FTW) brings five award-winning short films to Room Art Space on 25 Sunday October.
The series is curated by New York-based film production house Cinephilia Productions.
This year, the series will include Christine (Mounia Akl, Lebanon), Orman (Onur Saylak and Dogu Yasar Akal, Turkey), Sahar (Alexander Farah, Afghanistan/Canada), Tornistan (Ayce Kartal, Turkey), and the Aftermath of the Inauguration of the Public Toilet at Kilometre 375 (Omar El-Zohairy, Egypt).
Launched in 2013, FTW is an annual programme that tours countries to hold a series of short-film screenings. The series "highlights five short films by unique and remarkable voices from the Middle East, Africa and South Asia,” as is mentioned on the event’s Facebook page.
