البلا يعمّ و الرحمة تخصّ
El bala ye’umm wel rahma tekhoss
Translation: Misfortune is for everyone, but good fortune is for a few
Meaning: This exquisite proverb, rarely used in current speech, deserves a come back. When it is a time of catastrophe, no one is safe. But when good fortune comes, only a select few will reap the true rewards.
