Egypt and Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny made his first Premier League start in Saturday's thrilling 2-2 North London derby draw with Tottenham Hotspur at the White Hart Lane.
He was substituted 15 minutes from time, making way for French striker Olivier Giroud.
The 23-year-old midfielder, who joined from Swiss champions Basel in January, made his second league appearance with Arsenal, having come on as a late substitute in the 3-2 loss to Manchester United last week.
He featured in two FA Cup games: the 2-1 win over Burnley last month and the goalless draw with Hull City last week.
Alexis Sanchez's late goal rescued a point for 10-man Arsenal in a 2-2 draw with Tottenham after Francis Coquelin's sending-off sparked a turnaround in a thrilling game between the title-chasing north London rivals.
Coquelin was shown a second yellow card in the 55th minute when Arsenal was 1-0 ahead thanks to Aaron Ramsey's first-half goal. Within seven minutes, Spurs had gone ahead on goals by Toby Alderweireld and Harry Kane at White Hart Lane.
However, Sanchez scored in the 76th minute from a shot that Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris arguably should have saved to seal a draw that will be celebrated by league-leader Leicester.
Ahead of its game at Watford later Saturday, Leicester is two points ahead of second-place Tottenham and five clear of third-place Arsenal.
