Minister of Social Justice Gouda Abdel Khalek voiced his dissatisfaction with the progress made in achieving a greater degree of social equity in Egypt, which has been one of the prime demands of the January 25 Revolution.
Abdel Khalek’s statements were made in a workshop held Sunday morning under the name of, ‘From Shock to Economic Recovery’.
He also stressed that achieving social equity is the responsibility of the social justice ministry, citing the “current circumstances” as a reason behind its inability to fulfil the task.
Egypt has been suffering from a deteriorating economy for the past months as well as a chronic security vacuum across the nation.
