Abgadeya Bookstore is hosting a book signing and discussion of the book by Ayman Bakr, Beginning of the Revolution, the newest release from Sefsafa Publishing, starting at 9pm. The event features Zain Abdel-Hadi, head of the National Library and Archives, and Haitham El-Haj, professor of criticism in Helwan University.
The book includes an analysis of the public discourse that sought to create a fake awareness and cover up the frightening reality, in an attempt to give examples from the past to help avoid the same mistakes in the future.
The second section of the book was completed during the Tunisian and Egyptian revolutions, in an attempt to analyse what was taking place, and to try to understand some of the potential scenarios for the future.
