The Misdemeanor Court in New Cairo has acquitted 20 protesters accused of rioting and damaging public property during clashes outside the Mubarak trial building.
The court on Thursday dismissed the case of one defendant who had passed away and referred one defendant to the juvenile court.
The security forces arrested the 22 protesters from among pro- and anti-Mubarak groups that clashed last month outside the police academy in New Cairo where the former president's trial is being held.
