The sci-fi/ thriller movie was nominated for two Oscars

Magnolia Leaves of Art will screen Twelve Monkeys by director Terry Gillam on 22 March.

The film (1996) revolves around a fatal virus that kills five billion people; however 1% of the population has survived by the year 2035 and is obliged to survive underground.

James Cole, the movie’s protagonist decides to go back in time to discover the source behind the epidemic that was spread by Army of the Twelve Monkeys.

Twelve Monkeys stars Bruce Willis, Madeleine Stowe, and Brad Pitt.

The movie has been nominated for two Oscars for Best Actor in Supporting Role and Best Custom Design, and won a Golden Globe in 1996 for Best Actor Performance.
