Tottenham’s South African midfielder Steven Pienaar said on Wednesday he has no regrets over his decision to join English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur last January.

"Regrets? No not at all. It has been a year of mixed feelings, and yes it has been a bumpy road, but hopefully I can make it a success, ‘’ Pienaar was quoted as saying by Sky sports.

The 29-year-old midfielder‘s progress, however, was hampered by a string of injuries which prevented him from playing regularly with his new team.

The South African international also said he would be always grateful for his former club Everton after spending three years and half with the Toffees.

"It has been a very hard decision to make. It was hard to leave Everton as club and Liverpool as city.

"The people I had around me, the players, most of the supporters were very good to me, and I will always be grateful to them.

"It was hard to go, but in life you have to make decisions. I made this one as a footballer and as a human being, and I don't have any regrets about what I chose to do. Not at all," he added.
