Egypt's major stocks have taken a hit in the week's first trading session, the benchmark EGX30 closing Sunday down 0.36 per cent at 4,073 points.
The majority of the day's 170-plus traded stocks saw declines, leaving it to a few dozen major firms to limit larger losses. Most sectors posted slight declines.
Total market turnover was LE201.3 million.
