The United States expanded sanctions against Russia on Friday, adding a deputy energy minister and some power and energy companies to its blacklist.
The additions include Russian Deputy Energy Minister Andrey Cherezov, as well as the head of engineering company Technopromexport and multiple subsidiaries of oil producer Surgutneftegaz, the U.S. Treasury Department said in a statement.
