Eden Hazard said Egypt were an organised side despite their 3-0 loss to Belgium in their last World Cup warm-up on Wednesday.
The Pharaohs extended their winless run to six matches after losing to Belgium in Brussels, but they slightly improved their counter-attacking game after a dull display in the previous 0-0 draw with Colombia.
"Egypt are a good team," Hazard, who scored the second goal, told ON Sports after the game
"They have many good players and I think they will perform well in the World Cup. Egypt are a compact team and they are very organised."
But the Chelsea forward said his side did not face any troubles in asserting their dominance as they outplayed Egypt in the first half.
Asked about Egypt's injured winger Mohamed Salah, who is facing a race time to be fit for the World Cup, Hazard said he hopes the Liverpool man would be available for the tournament.
Egypt kick off their Group A campaign against Uruguay next Friday.
"Salah is a friend and I wish he will recover before the World Cup," Hazard, who was Salah's teammate at Chelsea three years ago, added.
