Cairo giants Ahly have suffered an injury blow ahead of Saturday's Champions League tie at Horoya as trio Saad Samir, Nasser Maher and Mido Gaber were ruled out of the game.

Ahly who secured a goalless draw away at Horoya in the first-leg of the champions league quarters will be looking for a win on Saturday when they host the Guinean side in Cairo to advance to the tournament's semis.

Coach Patrice Carteron announced his 20-man list on Thursday that saw the absence of the injured trio.

International defender Saad Samir sustained a muscle injury during the first-leg, while midfielder Mido Gaber failed to complete the team's training on Thursday.

Winger Nasser Maher also failed to recover in time from a hamstring injury and he was ruled out of the game.

The trio joined a long list of absentees that includes defender Mohamed Naguib, Nigerian winger Junior Ajaye and midfielder Amr El-Soulaya who suffered different injuries.

With these absences Ahly's mission will not be easy against the Guinean side that will play the game with their full squad after the return of international keeper Khadim Ndiaye after serving one-match ban.
